Peter Walts
Peter Walts is the founder and CEO of Centropy Group, a new business catalyst and consulting firm focused on creating new value and client momentum through business development, strategic alliances, licensing, and transactions. The firm has industry experience spanning broad sectors such as: publishing, direct marketing, e-commerce, identity fraud/security, software development, retail and franchise development.

Peter is a highly energetic and successful business leader with diverse experience driving profitable growth in challenging, competitive and often volatile customer markets. A signature strength of his is the unique ability to assist clients in combining diverse assets and intellectual property into a coherent whole and then assuming the role of sales evangelist on their behalf for the resulting creation.

Prior to Centropy Group, Peter was the CEO of OfficeSupplies.com, a venture backed e-commerce company servicing vertical business markets to provide office products and services via the web, catalogs and a natural team of reps and distributors. Peter sold OfficeSupplies.com to Office Depot in late 2000.

Prior to OfficeSupplies.com, Peter was a co-founder of Successories, Inc. the worldwide leader in personal and professional development products. Peter played a key role in growing the business from its inception in 1990 to over $50 million dollars prior to his departure in 1999. As president of the company's retail division, Peter was instrumental in launching the company's franchise and corporate store rollouts, which quickly expanded to over 80 locations in the US, Canada, and Australia. As Senior Vice President of Business Development, he was responsible for implementing the company's licensing campaign, which included branded initiatives with Office Depot, Office Max, Viking Office Products and BT/Corporate Express. In addition, Peter established elaborate strategic relationships with Franklin Covey, Sky Mall, Borders/Waldenbooks and Target Stores. His leadership also brought Successories into new international markets such as Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Sweden, Singapore, South Africa and the Netherlands.

David Hain joins Centropy Group as the firms Business Intelligence practice leader. As a co-founder and CEO of Intelligent Decisions Group LLC, David's team provides Centropy Group clients with tools, processes and methodologies to leverage existing business systems and knowledge with new technologies and methods that dramatically improve their business performance. The firm has industry experience spanning broad sectors such as: Human Capital, Distribution, Logistics, Publishing, Direct Marketing, and e-Commerce, Identify Fraud/Security, Software, Retail and Franchise Development.

David was also the CEO and Chairman of HR Technologies, Inc.—a venture backed human capital software and services company servicing vertical business markets to provide competency-based performance management systems via the web, as well as through client server architecture.

In addition to founding and selling personal ventures, David also served in senior management, business development and sales capacities for several global 2000 companies including Veba Ag, Univar and Chemical Leaman, Inc.

David has built successful strategic relationships with EDS, Laidlaw, BFI and the former Anderson Consulting, Siemens, CNA Insurance, Merck, Rhone-Poulenc, Pepsi, Waste Management, First Citizens Bank, Exelon, CSC, and Cap Gemeni.

Tony Steadman
Tony served as a VPGM for Spherion’s Recruitment Services division. He also served as VP, Solutions Design for Spherion enterprise wide (Spherion is a leader in the Staffing and Managed Services market). He has also served in executive roles for some notable companies, of which a few are mentioned below:
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he served as senior director of HR.
  • Mellon HR Solutions, where he led that company's end-to-end HR outsourcing operation.
  • Allied Signal/Honeywell, where he led a team of HR Mergers & Acquisition subject matter experts.
Specialized Expertise and Education A graduate of the University of South Carolina with an undergraduate degree in industrial management and graduate degree in human resources, Tony is also is a certified professional in human resources and trained in methodologies such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Six Sigma defect reduction, Lean Servicing and Design for Six Sigma.

Rick Wnuk is an experienced sales executive with an expertise in helping clients accelerate and optimize sales performance. He is passionate in helping his clients acquire new business, build effective teams and create a culture of continuous improvement.

Rick has proven experience in the areas of sales, business development, sales coaching, skill development, new market development and mergers & acquisitions. His expertise is focused on complex selling environments in verticals that include technology, services, life sciences, pharmaceutical, financial services and outsourcing.

In addition to his consulting and speaking engagements, Rick is also a contributor on sales relates topics to Selling Power Magazine, EyesOnSales, Sales and Marketing Magazine, WebEx Communications and the American Management Association. He is also a co-author with Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard on a book titled “Roadmap to Success” that will be published later this year.

Mr. Siebert brings expert knowledge in Franchise Development to Centropy Group through his twenty years experience working with over 30 Fortune 1000 companies and over 200 start-up franchisors. Mark is the founder of the iFranchise Group, an organization dedicated to developing long-term relationships with successful franchisors. An expert in evaluating companies for franchisability, structuring franchise offerings, and developing franchise programs, Mark's recommendations have been instrumental in the growth and success of numerous national franchisors.

Prominent clients include Ace Hardware, Amoco, Armstrong World Industries, Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels, Berlet, BP Oil, Bridgestone/Firestone, Chevron, Circle K, Coldwell Banker, Encyclopedia Britannica, Guinness, Hallmark, Horizon Pharmacies, IBM, John Deere, Lenscrafters, Line-X, Mobil Oil, National Easter Seals, Philips Van Heusen, Ryder Truck Rental, Shell Oil, Successories, and Texaco. Mark has initiatied International franchise consulting practices in Argentina, Chile, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay, Peru, and the Philippines. Sheila Bravo

Sheila brings over 17 years of advertising and marketing experience to Centropy Group, having held various management roles in such global companies as Campbell Soup Company, Godiva Chocolatier, and World Kitchen. Her experience spans brand management, positioning, business development, market research, communications, new product development, and strategic planning. Sheila is a hands on operator, and works with Centropy Group clients on site to lead project teams and manage effective communications and process flow.

Karen is heads up the team for Centropy Group's Brand Development and Market Research practice with over 24 years of experience harnessing the power of consumer insight. A Principal of Minkus Brand Catalysts, Karen leads the firm's strategic efforts including marketing strategy consulting and market research. Equally at home with qualitative or quantitative challenges, Karen brings a wealth of consumer research experience to Centropy Group clients. As an executive PepsiCo and Kraft Foods where Karen was a 2 time winner of the Corporate Leadership Award.

Karen holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School and is a frequent lecturer on how marketers can harness the power of consumer insight. She is also an active member of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants Association).
